Touch of Nature

Friends of Outdoor Education – Updating Our Most Used Facilities

Over the last two years, thanks to the generosity of our donors, we were able to transform both Morris and Shawnee Lodge with air conditioning, new flooring, and updated bunk beds. These improvements are already making a difference for the thousands of students, campers, and retreat groups who use the facility.

This year, we are asking for your support to help bring a bold new vision to life at Touch of Nature—a new, purpose-built lake and swimming area . With Little Grassy Lake being drained for major dam repairs, we have an opportunity to create a waterfront of our own that is safer, more accessible, and designed specifically for our campers and programs. Your gift to the Friends of Outdoor Education fund will help us build a 2-acre swimming lake and, over time, add features such as docks, slides, a rope swing, accessible recreation areas, and a modern bathhouse. This investment will create a place for swimming, paddling, water safety, outdoor learning, and unforgettable experiences for generations to come.
