The SIU Alumni Association is Building Futures with Your Support
The SIU Alumni Association is proud to continue raising funds for regional scholarships in Williamson County, the St. Louis area, and the Springfield, Illinois region as part of our 2025 Day of Giving efforts. Earlier this year, we celebrated a major milestone—reaching our $25,000 endowment goal for the Chicagoland Scholarship Fund. But our work doesn’t stop there. We are committed to sustaining and expanding scholarship opportunities in Chicagoland and beyond, helping more students begin their Saluki journey.
As stewards of the Saluki spirit, the Association connects more than 260,000 alumni worldwide and creates pathways for future Salukis to achieve their educational dreams. From our home at the Guida-Moller Family Alumni Center in Woody Hall, we work every day to show the world what an SIU education makes possible—while honoring the memories and traditions that made SIU special for generations of alumni.
Your Gift Makes a Difference
For this SIU Day of Giving, we invite you to contribute to two major initiatives:
- Regional Scholarship Endowments – Chicagoland, St. Louis, Williamson County, Springfield, and Beyond
Across Illinois and the nation, more than a dozen alumni chapters raise funds to help local students attend SIU Carbondale. These endowments create stable, lasting resources in key recruitment regions. Chicago is home to more than 40,000 alumni and serves as a major recruitment hub, while the greater St. Louis region and Williamson County remain vital connections for Southern Illinois students. Endowing these scholarships at $25,000 each ensures future Salukis can pursue their dreams with less financial burden.
